L’amour Curves was set up to provide affordable wedding dresses without compromising on the quality or style. Unlike some bridal shops who claim they need to charge more because they use more fabric, we do not charge any extra for plus size dresses. Our dress styles are modern and up to date at very reasonable prices. You will find that at L’amour Curves, we are very transparent with our prices and that is why the price you see is the price you pay (excluding alterations if required).
Though lots of bridal shops claim they can cater for plus size brides, which may sometimes be the case, the reality may be that the number of plus size samples to view and try on may be minimal. L’amour Curves works hard to stand out to ensure that our brides can try on dresses and feel good that there is a gown for every body type, shape and size. We aim to provide samples up to size 34 so that your shopping experience does not make you feel embarrassed trying on gowns that do not fit.
No one will ever know better than you what dress you like and feel comfortable in. It’s a cliché, but true, that you wear the dress, the dress doesn’t wear you. So, make sure you’re not so bowled over by a gorgeous gown that you forget to ask whether you feel like yourself in it. Once you’ve got a dress on, take time to imagine the key moment of walking down the aisle towards your future husband. You need to look at the whole package and find something that makes you feel happy. It should be a dress that makes you feel like the very best version of yourself.
Majority of brides come into the bridal boutique with a preconceived idea about a particular dress style in mind, because they believe and feel that a particular style is the only one that would fit their body type. In some rare cases brides have been right, but we request that you come with an open mind, ready to try on any style bridal wear, you may be pleasantly surprised. Wedding dresses are made very different to your everyday fashion wear or even fancy big occasion gowns.
Brides have been known to exhibit curves where they never thought or acknowledged that they ever had any in the first place. Brides have been known to walk into a bridal store determined to buy that mermaid dress and left with an A Line or ballgown. So my advice is to come with an open mind and listen to your stylist!
